On Monday, the King George Medical University in Lucknow decided that a stamp and signature of the doctor in charge of the cases are mandatory for buying drugs at a concessional price. This decision came after the Lucknow police nabbed three people who were selling drugs procured from the KGMU’s HRF pharmacy in the market.
The Hospital Revolving Funds (HRF) pharmacy sells all the necessary drugs at a concessional price. The order directed the person in charge of the HRF outlet to click photographs of every prescription and post them on the WhatsApp group of the outlet for stock verification.
The order was passed by Professor Anuradha Nischal, who is in charge of the KGMU HRF outlets.
